Am back from Eilat Festival! What a wonderful experience.. Classes with some of the best teachers around (Orit, Aziza, Mayodi, Aleksei, Lulu Sabongi and many many more!) shows on stage and live music, parties, costumes, colors, workshops, good food.. and all of that four days long! Thank you Queenie for sharing the experience with me :)

BOOTCAMP II Enrollments now open!

BOOTCAMP I sold out, BOOTCAMP II now open!

Attention, recruits! BOOTCAMP I (5-6-7-8 July 2012) has already sold out (we've opened a waiting list here), but you can still sign up for BOOTCAMPII (19-20-21-22 July 2012) right now!

What is BOOTCAMP? A 4-day fun dance training intensive with Khalida and Queenie (resp. Bellydancer of the World 2007 and 2011) in Würselen, Germany (near the Dutch and Belgian border). here is also an opportunity to perform at our informal studio hafla/belly dance party on Saturday evening during each BOOTCAMP.

Who can enroll? BOOTCAMP is geared toward intermediate to advanced students who are motivated to work it, but also towards upcoming professionals looking for ways to improve their dance training. If any of this sounds like you, then come and Sign up for BOOTCAMP! :)

Guest teachers 2012
Constanze Janssen, a wonderful professional ballet instructor and choreographer will be teaching 3 ballet workshops at  BOOTCAMP I (5-6-7-8 July 2012), and the fabulous Amirah of Belgium (TF Belly dancer of the World 2010) will be teaching 3 dance/training workshops at BOOTCAMP II (19-20-21-22 July 2012)

Program 2012
Every morning we will have a (optional, but FUN, promise :)) shred workout session, followed by a long cool down and stretch. The afternoons will be filled with daily bellydance classes with Queenie and Khalida, and there will be a hafla/studio party on Saturday evening. On Thursday morning (starting around 10:00 am) we will have a short introduction round and welcome at the studio.

Accommodation
There are many small Hotels and B&Bs near the venue, but the cheapest options tend to sell out fast, so don't wait too long to book! Around the time of BOOTCAMP I (5-8 July 2012) it might be easier to find accomodation in Eschweiler and other regions around Würselen. Check out our special BOOTCAMP Facebook page for tips and possible room-share/carpool options.

Happy 2012!

I would like to take this moment to wish all of you the very best for 2012. May it be a lovely year for each of you, full of love and dance!

2011 has been a year of excitement and many 'firsts' for me, in order of appearance:

 - Working out (with actual weights! RAR!)

Shredding!

 - Making 2 instructional DVDs with Aziza in Canada (AHAHA it still feels surreal!)

Isis Wings DVD

- Getting married (!!!)

Wedding <3

- Planking (across 3 borders! at our wedding! at Razia's workshop! in the Seychelles! at Aziza's DREAM CAMP! etc.. :))

- Crazy road trips (Everywhere!)

Euro Trip? Euro STAR!

- Adopting a fluffy camel (Princess Lumpy! <3) together with Queenie, the brand new Bellydancer of the World!)

But it was also a year with lots of dancing, teaching, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. I've 'touched down' in Thessaloniki, Leuven, Heerlen, Eilat, Saltaire, Waanrode, Katowice, Bruges, Würselen, Montréal, The Seychelles, London, Torquay, Kempen, Duisburg, Oslo, Amersfoort and that's just 2011. I do feel truly blessed :)

I am looking forward to seeing you all in the new dance season, with so many wonderful classes, workshops, guest teachers, shows and events coming up in 2012.
